It was Samsung Mobile who was the first company that introduced the music phone and the smart phone with internet. Samsung Mobile have always used their advanced technologies to release newer and better phones and they are well known for high standard devices. The Samsung Instinct mobile phone got awarded as best innovative mobile phone during the CTIA of 2008. The judged present at the CTIA of 2008 also gave Samsung the title “Best in Show”.
Samsung Mobile had some issues with the connectivity in the mountainous areas in Korea. It was a nice test for them to see how they could improve their network and solve any connectivity problems. They were able to develop a method of using gold to connect the point between the antenna and the communication circuits after finding the optimal length of a mobile phone antenna. This significantly reduced resistance enabled a steadier wave conductivity. Korea’s topography forced them to develop wave-searching software and was specially designed for the mountainous area.
The president of Samsung Mobile in 1990, Kun Hee-Lee, was informed about the design and management of the Samsung Phones. That same year, he was shocked by the report and felt he had to look at his efforts to improve Samsung’s system of quality management. After examining all of the evidence Mr. Hee-Lee decided that they needed a turnaround and reached to the mobile phone business. He issued an ultimatum to his executives to “Produce mobile phones comparable to Motorola’s by 1994 or Samsung would disengage itself from the mobile phone business.” The SH-700 was a remarkable new mobile phone in those days and many were sold which immediately placed Samsung high on the ladder of the mobile phone market.
On top of releasing a quality product, each and every phone was tested to make sure that nothing was wrong with it. This is probably one of the reasons why Samsung Mobile has such loyal customers.
